We already have most of these instruments... although I am no Mariah Carey!!  Make sure you notice the baby glockenspiel and the recorder!

Speaking of the Christmas Concert --- we only have one more week until showtime!!!  I emailed word sheets to the homeroom teachers, and those should be forwarded to you soon.  Please print out a copy for your child to practice and memorize the words.

Attention All SINGERS!!!

Parents of all 3rd-8rd graders who love to sing!

CHOIR WILL BE STARTING SOON!!!  There are no auditions!!!  The only requirements are that your child loves to sing, wishes to help lead worship at our school liturgies on Friday mornings, and has the dedication to wake up a bit early to make it to the practices!
The choir will rehearse every Thursday morning at 7:15 AM.  The interest level is so high that the choir will be divided into smaller groups to sing at mass.  These groups will alternate, and each one will sing approximately once every 3-4 weeks.  A calendar and rotation schedule will be sent home soon.
The choir will also perform at the Christmas Concert, and the Spring Concert in May.  We will have extra choir rehearsals to prepare for these concerts as the time draws near.  Please watch for a practice calendar and more information to come!
For now, please fill out the choir permission form, (coming home today) and return it to me no later than next Wednesday, September 12.  Being a member of the choir is a time commitment, but I believe it will be a very rewarding experience for your child!

Our first rehearsal will be Thursday, September 13 at 7:15 AM.

It's great to be back!!

Hello all!

As most of you know, I have been on maternity leave since January!!  My sweet baby boy (Carter James Handshoe) was born on January 31, and he is now 7 months old!  Clara loves him, and they are so cute together.  Clara is healthy and happy... I know that many of you have prayed for her over the past two years.  Thank you again for that!  Her most recent MRI results were awesome, and the doctor said that her brain looked like a tumor was never even there.  She recently started dance class, which is pretty amazing considering all that she has been through.  My husband and I are continually thankful for our miracle girl, and now our newest baby blessing.  I know the purpose of this blog is not to share family news, but I'm just a happy mom, and I can't help it!  I will add a picture if I can figure out how to do it.  Ha.

In the future, I will try to keep my posts more school related!  For now, please be patient as I learn how to do this!
